Veterinarian: Dr. Lon Lemon Special Interests: Orthopedic Surgery Dentistry/Oral Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery Geriatric Orthopedic Care Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University 1971 Dr. Lemon has practiced in Omaha, NE since 1971, and established Animal Clinic Suburban, P.C. in 1974. When he is not caring for your pet, he occupies his time on the farm with his wife along with their Australian Cattle Dog “Cooper” and barn cat “Cleo”. They keep busy raising horses and cattle. Veterinarian: Dr. Robin K. Nelson  Special Interests: Internal Medicine Geriatric Medicine Dermatology Puppy Training Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University 1980   Dr. Nelson practiced in Aberdeen, SD for 14 years before moving to Omaha. She has been associated with the Animal Clinic Suburban, P.C. since 1994. When she’s not practicing veterinary medicine Dr. Nelson enjoys gardening and training or showing German Wirehaired Pointers. She and her dog, “Lilly”, qualified for the National Obedience Invitational three years in a row.

Receptionist:  Suzanne has been with the clinic since 2002. She enjoys meeting and greeting people and their pets. Prior to joining the staff she was a manager for 6 years at TCBY yogurt, meeting and greeting people over sweet treats. Suzanne has a photography degree and enjoys taking pictures and singing. She has 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren, 4 of which are quadruplets. She has 3 grand-dogs.

Licensed Veterinary Technician: Carrie has been with the staff since 2000. She works closely with Dr. Lemon in anesthesia, surgery, radiology and dentistry. She went to ISU for 3 years studying Animal Science after completing Veterinary Technician School in 1994. She has worked for various clinics in Iowa and Nebraska. Carrie has a teenage son who keeps her busy with football, wrestling and band events and a cat named “Blackie”.

Licensed Veterinary Technician: Shawna has been on staff for since 2006. Shawna runs our lab and comes to us after 5 years at UNMC working as a Research Tech in Comparative Medicine. She graduated from Veterinary Technician School in 1999. Shawna has 3 children and lives on an acreage with her horses, dogs and cats. She enjoys horseback riding.

Veterinary Assistant:  Whitney has been on staff for since 2002. Prior to joining us she worked for a year at the Hearts United for Animals, a rescue facility in Auburn. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from ISU. Whitney has a dog and several cats all of which she rescued from various situations. She enjoys gardening in her spare time.

Licensed Veterinary Technician:  Jessica Olson is a recent addition to our staff.  She moved here from Wyoming and graduated from Eastern Wyoming College in 1998.  She is married and has 3 children.  They live on an acreagewith 2 horses, 2 dogs and a cat.  She enjoys spending time outdoors with her children and her pets.
